The son of a Social Worker & Teacher, Altair R. Stephens, at heart is a boy from The Bronx, NY, and a teen from Yonkers, NY. He had fun fooling around with voice recorders on his family’s PC since he was 14. Along with a love of cartoons and anime, 20 years later, he started pursuing a professional voice acting career.
He has worked in various industries including retail, mental health & comprehensive care, tutoring & education. This rich and diverse background has allowed Altair to relate to many people. He’s using his voice not only to entertain; he’s using his voice to inspire and support others to follow through on their dreams. What’s next for Altair is connecting with other voice artists in the industry. He is open to many opportunities and is interested in animation, video gaming commercials, e-learning, and audiobooks.
Altair is a graduate of Mount Saint Michael Academy in The Bronx, NY. He received his B.A. in Psychology from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA, and obtained a Master degree in Social Work at Simmons University online in Boston, MA. Currently, he lives in Parsippany, NJ with his fantastic wife.
